On October 20, 2007, Hafize Sahin, 27, five feet and ninety pounds, was working the graveyard shift at a convenience store when a six-foot-tall armed man, probably thinking she was easy pickings, tried to hold up the store. Sahin grabbed a large axe from beneath the counter and, as the man approached, began swinging it wildly in his direction. This tough guy, with a gun in his hand, faced off with her for about 6 second before turning tail and fleeing the scene, empty handed.

Spinning Blackwater: Bush shot first

You can call them "Independent Contractors" or any other euphemism. This does not change that we are discussing a mercenary operation. Killers for hire. These people did not spring from the earth fully formed. They represent a long military tradition. They have been among those who do the government's dirty work for a long time. We have always employed mercenaries. We have always given them license to do to the things we cannot afford to be seen doing. Before they were Blackwater, these people were either members of other mercenary organizations or in the military. If public outcry condemns Blackwater, they will disband, reform under a new name, and scoop up the same contracts. As long as we give our government license to be dirty, there will be men willing to do dirty work for money. They're the same men. If you research their names, you will see them doing dirty things in dirty conflicts all over the world. If you want to do something dirty, you call these guys.

You know why Blackwater shot first? Because the American government hired them.

If you have to point fingers, point them at the administration that has spent so many billions of dollars on deliberately delivering misery to foreign nations because war is good for the economy. Look long and hard at who's profiting here. Read the Declaration of Independence. Decide for yourself the priciples on which this country was founded.
